I’m a single city girl who yearns to be a weekend country girl. I live in a big city while owning property in the middle of nowhere. There is only one teeny tiny obstacle (ok two big ones) blocking my goal from being fulfilled right now…money and balls guts.
This blog will chronicle my life, both the mundane, the not-so-mundane, trials and tribulations, celebrations, adventures and funny situations. I need to get my financial situation under control, refocus my career (that lately has gone on a wild detour) and get my love life in order, all while having boatloads of fun.
I want to have the life where I can feed my chickens while drinking my Iced Venti Decaf Non-Fat Caramel Macchiato from the Starbucks just a few minutes away from home. I want to ride my horse as much as I drive my little japanese car. I want boyfriends to get the seal of approval from my milk goat. I want to wake up to my rooster as I rush off to the office and get a workout from harvesting the food I have grown in my garden.
Is this really too much to ask?
Somehow I need to combine my city girl lifestyle and my country girl world without going nuts. It won’t be easy. It might take a long while. But I know it will be worth it when I do.
It’s gonna be a hell of a ride…
